Aaron Sunstein is an American organist and music theorist. He leads the organ/church music program at the School of Music in Piteå, Sweden where he also teaches theory and ear training.  He holds the degrees PhD in music theory and DM (Doctor of Music) in organ performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (2020). His organ repertoire spans from early baroque music of Frescobaldi to contemporary organ works. In 2015, He premiered the complete Symphony for Organ of Gunther Schuller in Boston. Aaron is a prizewinner in three American organ competitions. Aaron grew up in Dorchester and was a chorister in the Choir of Men and Boys at the Parish of All Saints Ashmont.

His performance of Bach’s Clavierübung III is dedicated to the memory of his undergraduate organ teacher Del Disselhorst, a noted performer of Bach’s music and is a benefit for two Dorchester-based music organizations, The Bach Project and Convergence Ensemble.
